Evo

An early prototype of the Evolution System

The Evolution System is the primary method of improving your character in Evolve, and represents the power granted to the player character by the Heart of Evolution, a powerful artifact that grants the owner the ability to rewrite his or her body as they see fit.

Standard Evolution

Spend Biomass to increase primary attributes by a small amount, and modify (increase or decrease) secondary attributes by a small amount.

Base Chance of Success:

  • Level 1 - 4: 100%
  • Level 5 - 6: 75%
  • Level 7 - 9: 50%
  • Level 10+: 10%

Success causes the primary attribute bonus of the mutation to increase by the following amounts:

Primary Statistic Increase:

  • Level 1 - 4: 20%
  • Level 5 - 6: 60%
  • Level 7 - 9: 200%
  • Level 10+: 750%

Failure causes Strain Integrity to decrease by the following amounts:

Strain Damage:

  • Level 1 - 4: 10 - 20
  • Level 5 - 6: 100 - 200
  • Level 7 - 9: 1000 - 2000
  • Level 10+: Strain Integrity immediately falls to 0.

Mutation

Spend Biomass to force a mutation based on a certain area of research - i.e. an Energy Manipulation mutation will improve Energy skills for that mutation.

There is a chance (increasing with the Level of the class of the mutation) that the mutation will gain a related modifier (i.e. Explosive, Increased Biomass Gain, +3 ATK).

Mutation halves the remaining Strain Integrity, and cannot fail.

Ascension

Only available to the player through collected Orbs , which will add a powerful modifer to the evolution.

  • Golden Orb: Add a new Ultimate Modifier (Explosive, Ricochet).
  • Silver Orb: Add a new Primary Modifier (Increased Biomass Gain).
  • Bronze Orb: Add a new Secondary Modifeir (+3 ATK).
